I met this friend quite long time ago when I was an awkward rookie followed with all the look and expectation from others. She did not say much nor take sides. Some of my seniors sneered at me or even made special remark openly. She smiled once or twice naturally and refrain from talking.
Then she said she had to take unpaid leave. After sometime, I met her again in a departement where everyone seemed to be expecting changes started from. She did not say much, still; but in her own way we knew she made the difference. She is not the type of person who complained about a rut boss. She just cracked jokes at times to let off steam. She is she. She is special.
Until one day one person believed so much that she could make radical changes in the system by posting her in a jungle. Not that she tried to convince some people to see in different directions, but she could not swim against the flow. ALONE. She held on tight to a clog and almost drawn. No body saved her.
We are in a great loss and pain. We need her much more than we could ever tell her. Who are we? We are only the members of the brigades, the fighters who constantly need to struggle for day-to-day survival. Not that she did not try hard enough, but things just wouldnt be the same without her.
We do need to choose our battle. You are too precious to be around and twisted. Just prepare your parachute while the wind is still blowing. Take care.
