YAMASHITA PARK
One fine saturday afternoon, aji took us to Yamashita Park. He said he's always wanted to take us there since he arrived in Yokohama and we were still in Indonesia. Ibu said as long as it is free, she'd go for it. Aji also mentioned that this park is a symbol of the city and port of Yokohama, and is famed as a spectacular sightseeing location. It opened in 1930, constructed as part of the revival effort following the Great Kanto Earthquake .
From Gumyoji station we took the subway to Yokohama station for 260 yen and changed train to Chukagai station for 230 yen then took 10 minute walk to the park.
There are lots of flower there eventhough the spring was almost over. We saw some couples enjoying the romantic view of the bay bridge.
on the left picture, it's Hikawa Maru.
I had my dinner in the park with Ibu chased me around the park (Phew!) ; hey it's a good exercise for pregnant lady anyway!
We left the park by sunset and we crossed the street, we saw a red bus passing. It turned out that there is 100 yen bus which goes around the area and passes sakuragicho station. It means we could take the red bus and stop at the sakuragicho station for only 100 yen then change train to Gumyoji foronly 260 yen. Much cheaper !
Along the way, aji said " I should buy a camera soon so that we could take gorgeous pictures". Well you know, the camera we are using now is the limited-feature disposable camera and aji could have made much impressive photographs if only he had a real-pro camera.
Anyway, we would go back to this park and take more and more pictures !
