Akira's 1st b'day and Rai in his 7th day of life

On Sunday, we prepared cone-shaped yellow rice (nasi tumpeng) to celebrate Akira's 1st birthday and it coincided with the 7th day after Rai was born. (Rai was born a week before Akira's b'day).

It was only a simple celebration attended by only close relatives:Mbah Buyut Nunu, Mbah Didot, Mbah Ning, Mbah Gatot, Tante Pupi,Mbah Nani, Wawa Fia, Oom Subhan, Oom Levi's mother, Aki, Aji Mantra and his wife. Nini could not come because she was too tired preparing the food for us (fried chicken, sambal, crispy tempe and peanut) that her feet were swollen which make her difficult to walk.


Rai took his nap undistrubedly , yet invited comments and the awe of the guests. They said he looked just like Wisnu . ( Well, ibu thought he looked more like......Tom Cruz :) )

In fact, Rai is handsome in his own way.I





















Eventhough Akira does not seem to understand fully that he was the star of the day, but he enjoys the crowd. The outfit Akira was wearing was the same one bli Wisnu wore on his 1st b'day. (yah, namanya anak ke-2, baju ultah aja lungsuran dari abangnya!). We bought the b'day cake in Holland Bakery but the half of it went to the garbage bin as Wisnu broke the plate and the cake fell to the ground with all the pieces of broken plate.

Akira got so many presents : bus toy from Aunty Yudi, clothes from Mbah Buyut and Mbah Ning, some cash from Mbah Nani, small story books from Aunty Evi. Unfortunately, the toy was dominated by Wisnu and Alexa .... so perhaps that's the irony of being a little brother-- toys go to the elder. Anyway, Akira does not mind about it (perhaps he'll do the same thing on Rai's first b'day next year).
