Wisnu's day-to-day activities

Wisnu is a bigger boy now and has his own preferences and liking. If anyone wonders what he does everyday with no friend to visit nor school to attend, let us show you that he could find the real 'fun' around the house (hmm..that's something Ibu needs to learn later when returning to Indonesia and taking the maternity leave).

Since he was a baby, Wisnu is our morning alarm! He used to wake up at around 4 to 5 o'clock in the morning --crying for milk and having bowel movement. Here, in Yokohama he has better tolerance for us as he will wake up at 7 (btw, it's 5 o'clock in Jakarta) . Perhaps he knows that aji often has to burn the midninght oil studying or typing his thesis while ibu usually goes to bed early and wakes up at 2 or 3 and sometimes could not go back to sleep until 5 or 6 (because it's the perfect time to blog or to read a good book!)

In the morning usually at 7.30, Wisnu will watch the NHK TV --Inai Inai Ba while drinking his milk. Then after Akira drinks his milk and has his diaper changed and when the breakfast is ready, he will sit for his breakfast. if you see the picture carefully perhaps you'll notice that we do not have high chair for Wisnu but we can use the orange plastic container as his table and
Wisnu can sit on the floor (cheap and practical way!)

For several spoons he will try to eat by himself, but eventually ibu will have to spoonfeed him to make sure he takes sufficient calorie otherwise he will ask for milk many times in a day and unfortunately we do not have the budget for more than 400 cc milk a day for him. (Trust me he could drink up to 1000 ml if we give into his wishes).

After the breakfast, ibu will ask Wisnu to brush his teeth and wash his face (because it's too cold to take a shower now) and has his diaper and clothes changed.

Usually then he will play by himself or with Akira. Now that Akira starts to show his interest in Wisnu's toys as he will gigle and smile while watching Wisnu.

Afterward, Ibu will have to clean up the rooms and get herself cleaned too before it's time to prepare lunch. When it comes to cooking, Wisnu will be willing to help (of course ibu will have to think smart what he can or can't do with the food unless ibu wants the kitchen to turn out to be a chaos. Now, Wisnu loves to help ibu with the pestle and mortar.. Just check out his facial expression while grinding the garlic !!!

When aji is ready to go to campus, Wisnu will wait for a kiss and take aji to the door. After that he will push the blue basket under the window and sit on it so that he could wave aji goodbye " Dadah aji, kereta api" (bye aji, train -- wisnu will say train or bus to say actually "cool" or "I'm happy").

Aji will wave eagerly as wisnu watches him leaving. Wisnu used to cry doing this, but now he knows that there are times to meet and say goodbye.

Then all afternoon Wisnu can play with his toys--bus, motorcycles, crayon and papers or run around the house, or takes out the things from the shelves/drawers so that Ibu can have things to do later (yes, cleaning up!). When the lunch is set, wisnu can choose to eat in the dining room (on his blue basket chair)
or in front of the TV. If he's tired, he will take a nap in front of TV or in the bedroom with Akira.

At around 4 or 5 Wisnu will be up for TV--Inai Inai Baa (peek a boo) or the recorded Asobi Daisuki (I love to play)video which was recorded from the NHK Saturday's program. Throughout the dinner time, he will find ways to amuse himself and burn ibu out!!! At around 7.30 Wisnu will ask for milk and after that it's time for Wisnu to brush his teeth and wear his pajamas and get ready for bed.

Unfortunately the bedroom is too dark to take picture for the blog readers to see so ... Oyasuminasai!!!

Last Saturday, I thought Wisunu has grown. When I carried him, I found he became heavier! And what was most pleasant was he called me "uncle kei"! Before I was't called in that way. I don't know why I'm so happy, though he just call my name. But, anyway I was very happy! And I'm looking forward to the growth of Wisunu and Akira and of course new baby!
